About The Blog

I’m a typical Southern Woman in so many ways, but very a-typical in so many others.  We come from a place where we share a lot of the same fears, thoughts, hopes and ideals… I’m going to explore some of those and share my thoughts.  I hope that you can identify with some also.  If not, please feel free to comment and share your thoughts– I’d love to hear them!

In this blog you’ll hear the adventures of a Southern woman navigating the confederate states alone.  You’ll be able to see things from my side, living in a culture that accepts couples and is curious of those who “go it alone.”  I’ll share with you thoughts I’d like my future boyfriend to hear and thoughts I’d like other women to hear.  Fears I bury deep inside and hopes I’m afraid to speak.

Who knows? Maybe you’ll see a little deeper into the heart of a woman who is Southern yet Single and find out why Southern women have been compared to Whiskey in a Teacup.

  1. Hi there,
My name is Margaret Jacobi, I work for a multimedia website called BreakThruRadio. We have a feature that allows for cross-promotion and relationship building with bloggers. I’m a southern girl too, I’d love to feature you and maybe even interview you for the site. If you could email me back, I’ll give you more details.
